Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 24, 2026
Reginald Agency (“Reginald”, “we”, “us”) is a web design and development studio based in Laval, Québec, Canada. This policy explains what personal information we collect through reginaldagency.com and our client dashboard, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the rights you have under Québec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25) and Canada’s PIPEDA.
By using our website or services, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us directly:
- Contact and quote requests: your name, email address, business name, and the project details you choose to share.
- Your account: your email address and a password (stored only as an encrypted hash — we never see your actual password).
- Your project: messages, files, and other materials you share with us through your dashboard.
Information collected automatically:
- Basic technical data (such as IP address and browser type) processed by our hosting provider to operate and secure the site.
- Essential cookies needed to keep you signed in and to remember your language preference. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
- If we add analytics in the future, we use a privacy-friendly, cookieless tool that does not identify you individually.
2. Why we use your information
- To respond to your inquiries and prepare quotes.
- To create and manage your account and your project.
- To communicate with you about your project and send transactional emails (account, password, invoices, project updates).
- To operate, maintain, and secure our website.
- To meet our legal and accounting obligations (for example, keeping invoice records).
3. Consent
We collect and use your personal information with your consent and as needed to provide the services you request. You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us, though doing so may prevent us from providing certain services.
4. Cookies
We use only essential cookies: a secure session cookie that keeps you signed in, and a small cookie that remembers your chosen language. Because these are strictly necessary to provide the service, no consent banner is required. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings, but some features (like signing in) may stop working.
5. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run our business, and only as needed:
- Cloudflare — website hosting, file storage, and security.
- Resend and Brevo — sending transactional and contact emails.
- Google — only if you choose to sign in with your Google account.
Some of these providers may process data outside Québec or Canada (including in the United States). We take reasonable steps to ensure your information receives an adequate level of protection. We may also disclose information if required by law.
6. How long we keep it
- Account and project information: kept while your account is active.
- Inquiries: kept so we can follow up on your request.
- Invoices and billing records: retained as required by tax and accounting law, even after an account is closed.
- When you ask us to delete your account, we delete it — or, if a project and invoices exist, we anonymize it so the financial records remain without your personal data.
7. Your rights
Under Law 25 and PIPEDA, you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Have inaccurate information corrected.
- Withdraw your consent.
- Request the deletion of your account and personal information.
- File a complaint with the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec (CAI).
To exercise any of these rights, email us at contact@reginaldagency.com. You can also request deletion directly from your dashboard.
8. Security
We protect your information with industry-standard measures: encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and access controls that limit who can view your data. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you and the CAI of a confidentiality incident where required by law.
9. Person in charge of privacy
Reginald Agency’s person responsible for the protection of personal information can be reached at contact@reginaldagency.com for any question, request, or complaint about this policy.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date above reflects the latest version. Significant changes will be reflected on this page.
